Consultants must be credentialed, scheduled, scope-defined and integrated into hospital clinical governance, medical records, consent and follow-up processes.
Patients should book only through approved schedules. Visiting clinics may have limited slots, required referrals or pre-consultation investigations.
Visiting consultants can support grand rounds, mentorship, clinical audit, protocol development and capacity building for local staff.
